Priest-in-Charge (initially for 5 years)

St Peter’s, Peebles and St Andrew’s, Innerleithen
Remuneration: Scottish Episcopal Church Clergy Standard Stipend
We are a linked charge of two churches in the Tweed Valley, 20 miles south of Edinburgh, in a beautiful part of our diocese. We are looking for a gifted priest who will enjoy the challenge of helping us live the gospel creatively and passionately within our communities.
We are seeking to appoint a Priest-in-Charge who is:
- A person of deep personal faith
- Able to lead us in inspiring liturgical and musical worship
- A thoughtful and gifted teacher
- A people person who can encourage children as an integral part of our church life
- Passionate about helping our congregations engage with our communities
Within the initial period of this appointment and subject to longer-term financial viability the bishop may, with the consent of the Vestries (church councils), decide to license the Priest-in-Charge as Rector.
